This Class allows students to learn both services in a shorter amount of time because of the significant overlap regarding anatomy, sanitation, disinfection, and technique. The class also teaches nail and cuticle care, callus removal, massage techniques, proper use of implements, product knowledge, various polish applications, and nail/skin disorders and diseases. You will be doing multiple hands-on services in and out of class before completing the course.

Classic Lash Extensions

Lash extensions have been gaining popularity in the past few years especially with brides, graduates and travelers, making it great addition to anyone in the industry. The class delves into proper techniques to apply individual lashes, proper removal of lashes, sanitation and disinfection, and client consultation. You will be doing multiple hands-on sets as well as a fill to perfect the technique before completing the course.

Volume Lash Extensions

You must master classic lash extensions prior to taking the volume lash course. This class will teach you the proper technique for building volume fans and applying them. You will be doing multiple hands-on services in and out of class before completing the course.

Waxing is a great cost-effective service to offer in the industry and one of the most popular. This class will teach sanitation, disinfection, anatomy, client consultation, and skin diseases and disorders. You will learn the proper techniques to wax all facial areas, legs, underarms, and bikini area. Hands-on will be mainly traditional strip waxing but alternative methods will be discussed.

In this class you will learn the safe and proper technique for tinting eyelashes and eyebrows as well as eyelash lifts. The class will include sanitation, disinfection, client consultation, and the proper technique to perform the services. You will be doing multiple hands-on services in and out of class before completing the course.

Makeup Artistry

In this class you will learn professional makeup application and trends for several different scenarios including bridal, graduation, daytime and evening. You will learn face shapes, skeletal structure, colour analysis, proper product selection, product knowledge, corrective techniques, brush selection, as well as sanitation and disinfection. You will be doing multiple hands-on services in and out of class before completing the course.

Facials

In this class you will be learning different types of facials including chemical peels and machine facials. You will learn anatomy of the skin, facial muscles, and bones as well as skin diseases and disorders. Product knowledge, and sanitation and disinfection. You will be doing multiple hands-on services in class before completing the course.

Body Treatments

In this class you will learn different types of body treatments including relaxation massage, body polishes and body wraps. You will learn anatomy of the muscles, and bones as well as skin diseases and disorders, product knowledge, and sanitation and disinfections. You will be doing multiple hands-on services in class before completing the course.

Pre-Esthetics
4 days
This course is a mandatory class for any esthetician who is interested in applying for their journey person examination. It will go through all the different esthetic services, tools and equipment and basic maintenance for them, all safety protocols and standards, all disinfecting and sanitation procedures, as well as business practices.

Gel Nail Technician
5 days over 5 weeks
Gel nails are the most popular service. This course will teach you proper sanitation and disinfections, skin and nail diseases and disorders, proper nail prep, gel application with forms, gel polish applications, gel toes, fills on gel nails, and basic nail art. You will be doing multiple hands-on services in and out of class before completing the course.

Acrylic Nail Technician
1 day
You must master gel nails prior to taking acrylic nails. This class will teach you the proper technique to apply acrylic nails with tips, as well as sanitation and disinfection. You will be doing one hands-on service in class before completing the course.

Beginner Nail Art
3 hours
This beginner course is great for someone who has taken a nail course that did not offer basic nail art. You will learn gem placement, basic freehand, glitter and stamping.

Intermediate Nail Art
3 hours
You must have a basic understand of beginner nail art before taking this course. You will learn how to do marbling and, ombre as well as how to use foil, chrome, and sugar.

Information
All kits come with enough product to perform services on models (in class and at home), as well as several services after completion. Models are required for most classes. Each class will have a different amount of models required for in class as well as at home. Home models will require before and after pictures to be sent to the instructor as proof of completion. Once all models are completed and you passed both written and practical exams, you will then receive your completion certificate.
One way we are able to keep costs low is by asking our students to use a digital device for their textbooks. This can be either a phone, tablet or laptop. If you are not able to bring one of these items to access your textbook, please let us know and we will lend you one for the duration of your course.
We can be flexible with our course dates. If there are certain days of the week that work better for you, please let us know and we will try to accommodate
as best as possible. Most courses are set up to be one class a week to allow for students to practice on models at home. Evening and weekend courses are
available at an extra cost.
Frequently Asked Questions
At what age can you sign up for a course?
You must be at least 16 years of age with parental consent or 18 years of age without.
What does it mean by accredited?
This means that our curriculums have been approved by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission which means you could apply for your journey person exam in the future if you obtain all the certificates required.
Can I make payments for my tuition?
Absolutely. As long as we receive the final payment 7 days before your first class.
Can I apply for student loans for funding?
Unfortunately because we are a private training facility, you can not get student loans. But you may be able to qualify for a personal loan or acquire funding through other organizations.

We are an accredited private training facility offering classes for individual esthetic services. With the completion of your course you will receive a certificate that is approved by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission.
Logan’s Day Spa has been around for over 20 years and is dedicated to proper education of all esthetics.
Vickie Pedigo, our instructor, started her esthetics journey in 2005. She took her training at the European Institute of Esthetics in Edmonton and has worked as a full time esthetician since then. She has always had a dream to teach esthetics. After Vickie received her Skincare Journey Person certificate in 2019, she was offered the opportunity to achieve that dream by teaching a one year esthetics class. In 2021 Vickie received her Nail Technician Journey Person certificate, allowing her to teach nail care.
The owner of Logan’s Day Spa and Vickie knew there was a great need for more of these courses in the community and decided to work together to offer the courses through Logan’s Day Spa. After months of hard work and determination we are proud to offer a wide range of courses.
